Human ashes are not a fertilizer looked this up years ago, when I was obsessed with finding the most environmentally friendly way to dispose of human bodies. Something to do with with the balance of nutrients, as well as the salt and ph levels I think makes it toxic to plants. I’m pretty sure that’s right but I know its toxic pretty sure its a mixture of those things.

      The Cuck Pit lives on.

In case anyone is wondering and was confused by (edit: as I had, but is apparently not universal) the lack of context in the DDG search, this is a meme reference to the Barbara Pit Massacre, a mass execution of POWs from yugoslavian nazi puppet militaries (NDH and SD) which unfortunately (but predictably, as with any mass killing) killed quite a few civilians as well. Their bodies were dumped in a mine, including many that were buried alive, the mine was sealed off and the event and the mine was forbidden to discuss until the ~90s.

Looks like the search shows up differently - here it links to the Kočevski Rog massacre. Regarding Barbara Pit - I don’t know details about the civilians mentioned, whether they were fascist-collaborators or innocent - in the latter case, yes, it’s not just unfortunate but also tragic.

Rather a sad thought that there’s been enough pit massacres to be able to get them confused. And my apologies, I thought DDG didn’t do personalized results - wonder why it’s not showing up when I search it. For whatever reason, all I get are news articles about the recent FlyDubai plane stabbing

Ah, “cockpit”. It could be regional suggestions rather than personalization, or maybe results didn’t get clicked so new ones are tried.

Trump didnt turn people into raging nazi bigots.

All trump did was create an environment where masks could be dropped and let the bigot flags fly

Yup. My grandmother was a life long, hardcore Catholic, even earning an award for her service to the church.

When the last Pope condemned Trump’s border wall during his first presidency, my grandmother’s reaction was, “the Pope needs to mind his own business.”

Which isn’t a surprise considering she’s where I learned the version of the N-word that starts with a J. I’m glad she died before Trump’s second term.

If you are still a MAGAt after all this, you deserve to get flushed down a toilet. Not even sorry.

Rapist, pedophile, multiple felonies, fraud, bankrupting businesses aka money laundering, grifting, malignant narcissism, taking away women’s rights, concentration camps. Those are all the things that are not deal breakers to the Regressives.

My grandmother was a life-long Republican and I’m confident she’d have voted Republican in 2016 out of habit, if she were both alive and not drowning in dementia. She’d have turned against him by 2020 even with the dementia—Trump is just too gross as a person for her to stand.

Anyways, she died early 2016 and all I have from her is an elderly pup who’s snoring next to me. He’s great. He’s never voted for Trump.

If people, including academics and professionals, are constantly and aptly comparing your political policies and rhetoric to Nazis: you may want to do some introspection.

But it isn’t really much of a comparison or analogy any more. It’s simply a statement of fact. Much of the American right-wing are neo-Nazis, or at least like to LARP as genocidal Christian nationalists as a grift.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but your fucking country has concentration camps and is enabling genocide while ramping up its own.

In fact, the most credible defense that they aren’t Nazis is that they’re not really into it and just using the affect as a grift while capital rapes the country to death. Frankly, I don’t find the distinction carries much utility.

They’re ashes of a person. Some places have laws against the desecration of human remains that would apply to ashes; flushing them down the toilet would probably count

Here in Sweden you can’t keep human ashes. It’s illegal. I’d imagine flushing them would be a problem too.

I think combining the remains with faeces is probably illegal, because you aren’t allowed to debase them.

According to Skatteverket, a deceased must be cremated or buried within a month of death. If they get cremated, then the ashes need to be buried within a year. There can be exceptions, the page says

            • Should the relatives be in disagreement about funerary arrangements
            • In case a relative is unable to organise it, e.g. due to sickness
            • In case a survivor is to be buried alongside
            • In case the departed has donated their body, e.g. for science

No idea if you can turn loved ones into gemstones here, I’d assume not. I’d also assume that if you’re waiting with burying the cremated remains of someone because they’re to be laid to rest alongside a loved one, you’re also not allowed to keep said remains at home.

That makes sense, it’s just blowing my American mind, where an urn on the mantle is extremely commonplace. My brother and I both an urn with our mother’s remains, for instance.

Right? I’ve a friend in England who has a little urn with some of their mother’s ashes. I’m personally planning on keeping my dog’s ashes when he passes. However, apparently keeping a human is a no-no.

Sweden has this rep of being very liberal and free, but there’s a lot going on here that’s baffling. We’ve got some of the highest drug related deaths in Europe, and every single party in parliament is for the heavy criminalisation of drug use. It’s like the one thing they’re all agreeing on. We even did some stop-and-frisk for a while!
