Saved you a click - these are the dirty jokes:

A graphic forecasts “gusty south winds tonight” and shows a map that lays out the names of nonexistent towns, like “Orangeotilld” and “Whata Bod” — an unintentionally hilarious hallucination that sounds more like an old timey dirty joke than an actual place where people live.

In Canada, our current prime minister has made one of his priorities firing (or reducing via attrition, whatever) a bunch of public servants and utilizing LLMs to “increase efficiency”. Boy, sure am expecting that to go well.

Every single company with more than 100 employees is doing the same thing. Globally. I’m totally here for the shitshow that will follow.

Of course I’ll be doing it unemployed while silently dying in the background. Still here for it.

You don’t need to have more than 100 employees to already have your staff using AI

The small firms are also not hiring much because they’ve given everyone ai and now they all pump out huge documents like it’s nothing

    Remember, everyone.

LLMs don’t take over everything when they’re ready to do so.

LLMs take over everything when the stupid fucking CEOs who think LLMs are AI and run on magic are able to net more money than having a human workforce.

But as a result of sunken cost, we’re going to keep having this shit forced on us.

Yep, that’s pretty much how it is- they paid a lot of money for us to have to suffer though their bad idea.

It’s hilarious that CEO Nadella has renamed Microsoft Office to “Copilot” for this very reason.

“Recently, a local office used AI to create a base map to display forecast information, however the map inadvertently displayed illegible city names,” said NWS spokeswoman Erica Grow Cei. “The map was quickly corrected and updated social media posts were distributed.”

. . . Cei added that “NWS is exploring strategic ways to continue optimizing our service delivery for Americans . . .
