Pencils are fully automatic in the sense that once they are applied to paper, it will not stop until you lift.

Dude a few people in front of me at the polling place today had a handgun on his hip. He also had handcuffs, but i saw no badge anywhere. There was a sign behind the poll workers that said no weapons allowed. It was also at a school. Nobody said anything but i said “Huh, i didn’t think guns were allowed here, like at all.” He turned to look at me but that was the end of it. Zero consequences for him and he got to vote. Douche

making the left distrust or be uninterested about voting is a far right psy ops to literally make their opponents not vote.

Left or right politics forcing voters to choose between two sides and ultimately become single issue voters is a deep state psy op to literally make everyone hate politics and allow oligarchical control.

Okay but the two-party FPTP system is a separate issue that we can’t immediately fix right now. The immediate issue that’s right in front of us today is whether we put up road blocks to resist fascism, or whether we tear out the few road blocks that are left.

So for someone to sit on the sidelines and say “it doesn’t matter either way because I disagree with the binary nature of the dichotomy on a matter of principle” is simply asinine.

Psy Op worked. Show me on the dotted line where the Democratic Party has acknowledged tackling and replacing the first past the post system in a serious manner? I still vote, because yes what else is there to do, but that’s the beauty of the psy op. You feel like you’re participating, but it’s just a show :)

So your answer is to let them win on voting instead of fighting on every front available to you?

Nope. I voted. I’m just being realistic about the psy op; My vote even for shit candidates in a non representative first past the post system serves as part of my protest.

I’m glad to hear it. Most users I see here echoing your frustrations push the “don’t vote” rhetoric. I agree votes can and should be more valuable, but even a little bit of value can accumulate enough to make some change, like the US is seeing tonight. Thanks for doing your part.

Yeah. It’s disheartening to see those who don’t vote or argue for not voting. I might not believe our current system is good, but I can’t be arsed to ask anyone to help fix it if I don’t do the basics to participate. One of the first things I’d ask of a representative government is opt out automatic voter enrollment combined with ranked choice voting, I believe we sorely need it.

making the left distrust guns is far right psy ops to literally make their opponents vote on bourgeoisie parties instead of taking the means of production

        https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/ipsos-survey-jury-service-and-legal-system

The survey shows that one in ten Americans have served on a jury in the last 10 years

So if you extend that, figure 79 year life expectancy, minimum of 18 years (dunno if that’s true in all states, but it is in at least some), that’s 61 years that you probably have to potentially serve on one. Figure maybe ~1% chance each year, then 61% chance over your lifetime.

In some states, it’s not exactly random. I forget where I saw the analysis, but somewhere there was research showing that people with surnames higher in the alphabet were getting called in at a statistically higher rate.

I’m more surprised there aren’t any states where the official way to vote is to shoot the bubble next to your chosen candidate. But I suppose the number of counted ballots would be like 5 for the entire state.

Imagine a country where a mob murdered every president they don’t like. That can go both ways.

I know the Internet is trash, but I am NOT defending the current president at all. Fuck him. Just saying, the other side is rabid enough to murder a left wing president too. They took over the Capitol.

They didn’t take over shit. Their victim complex went into ultra gear the moment the first traitor was shot in the face. They’re mostly just whiny shitheels that are easily manipulated by the actual threats. The actual threats that have been given power by now.

I’ve been going down a Japanese stationary supplies rabbit hole. Their mechanical pencils are on another level. Pens, too. I’m not a pen guy but I feel the need to get one now.
