Can you explain this to me? I’ve never heard of this as a feature and literally cannot tell if this is a joke or real.
They remove the math-based image processing and replace it with AI, making all your photos invalid as any kind of evidence.

The cameras are for different light and motion conditions. It happens automatically

My phone has an ir blaster, but the software is awful so I’m not going to call it out as a success here. It is a flagship, though.
I miss the headphone jack so much.
I totally get it but I have been pretty happy with the earbuds to be honest. I know that’s a bit of a hot take but I always wanted wireless in the past and I use my jabra’s on a daily basis. Still, I dont like the removal of useful features, we could easily have wireless earbuds and still have headphone jacks for fuck sake
That’s still a hard requirement for me, but I don’t mind using older “tech”.

I had idiots argue with me you can easily pop out and replace batteries. There’s a reason why it’s a big selling point on the Fairphone.
Always on mic and forward facing camera
On one hand I like when we had removable batteries, jacks etc. But on the other hand, I like how computers (smartphones) got so easy to handle by the masses.
Redmi still has microSD slot, 2 sim cards, IR blaster, headphone jack.
What you should worry more about is not this, it is how locked it is to run your own software in it. Want to unlock bootloader? then create an account, have a sim inserted, apply for unlock using internet, wait 14 days or maybe 32, who knows? wipe all your data. and voila, you unlocked your phone.
Also the absence of screws and use of glue. Want to fix the wobbly USB input yourself? nah, just take it to a repair shop.

With wireless charging existing, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got rid of the USB port as well, and sold phones with no ports at all, just wireless everything.
And it will still be out of warranty for liquid damage, while a Casio with user replaceable battery is 100m resist.
