    Ah, so your whole point is, we don’t have this tech today, so we never will.

    Fuck man, there were people who had never even heard of heavier than air flight, watched it happen, and then before they died, watched men walk on the moon on their brand new TVs.

    I never said that we’d have this shit today, but there’s likely someone alive today who will live for multiple centuries, because we’re starting to understand the mechanics of aging.

    Mental health is not a roadblock to longer lives. Sure, we have to watch out, but it’s not a show stopper.

    The Alzheimer’s drugs are mostly just greed. As far as late onset Alzheimer’s goes, it’s genetic, and we can edit our genomes. There’s Youtube videos of a guy in his garage lab, (temporarily) curing his lactose intolerance through gene editing. A pinch of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

    Just saying, well, we don’t have this right this instant, so we never will, is lazy and ignores the hundreds of teams world wide who are working on this, and other problems.
