With data centers full of RAM, your PC is apparently the problem.

Don’t worry, he’s working on a method of bottling and distributing air for purchase, so that you can have fresh air in your home or community!

He’s partnered with Aloysius O’Hare on it.

(This is a joke. It’s a reference to The Lorax by Dr. Seuss)

That is a waste but what if that tree (or any tree, really) was used to hang him upside down so he can be beaten with shitty sticks…for a good ten years or so?

Ok, I’ve had an idea. How about an orchard of trees specifically for all CEO’s to be hung from (feet, neck. Your choice) then beaten with shitty sticks?

I mean I could buy an orchard for this, and start up a business of charging people to beat CEOs with shitty sticks.
Hell, I could be the CEO of Shitty Stick Orchard!!

      Uh oh…
ok, when I said all CEO’s then I didn’t mean me!!!

I think Scam Altman has gotten high on his own supply. He doesn’t even realize the nonsense he spews out anymore.

He should plug in, put his electricity back in the grid, fold up all his cells and die.

C’mon guys, the way you use your ovens is like really inefficient.

Stop buying ovens, let us buy all the ovens. Then whenever you need to cook something come get it from my restaurant instead.

He’s not wrong, just completely fucking tonedeaf.

Ok, yea, sure, from a resource allocation perspective, it does make the most sense to centralize power. Having one giant system running at 80% is more efficient than having a thousand small systems running at 20%. This is why we virtualize servers.

The problem is, we want and need our RAM for more things than having conversations with your “brain”-washed hallucinating spy-bots.

…sigh…it seems people think that I’m siding with Sham Faultman here. I’m not.

There are, however, absolutely benefits to consolidating tech. Lots of them. Far better compute/watt and compute/dollar. Like…significantly. It makes a lot of sense for businesses to consolidate into VMs on a handful of large clustered servers, as opposed to running a bazillion pizza boxes each doing one thing.

There are also drawbacks to consolidating tech. Lots of them. Probably chief anong them being privacy and ownership of data. And that’s a big thing.

CPU capabilities are more powerful today than ever. They think it’s terrible that you have that power without getting it through them.
