Anthropic Claude and other LLMs were used by US military in Iran strikes for intelligence, targeting and simulations. But Pentagon has already expanded AI use before Iran strikes. And most big AI companies are involved.
You're absolutely right, that was a school and not a military command post. I was relying on old and incomplete training data and should have provided a clearer picture of my reasoning. I apologise, it won't happen again.Many are asking how the USA has made such stupid decisions in the war (from starting it in the first place with Israel to the exact military actions they’ve carried out so far) and I’d like to hypothesise that it’s because they’re literally asking Chatgpt what they should shoot at.
So, the entire military leadership is just AI brained. Are they all boomers? Idk… maybe boomers like the POTUS himself believe AI is a magical problem solver that makes you invincible in all combat, but it would explain a lot.
And lastly - isn’t it odd how the sequence of events goes:
- USA announced depency on Open AI or the war
- First shoots at a little girls’ school and 9 or more hospitals

It’s worse than you think. GenAI is sound when the outcome of a prompt or task is expected. Look up how a GenAI model tried to call the FBI.
