Nah. For me that was the “version” of bios in which I could finally use my mouse to select stuff

When describing the boot process, bios. When configuring some CPU or memory setting, bios. When talking about some specific boot menu config, uefi.

BIOS sounds good. It’s got that cold hard logic stamped steel ring to it.

The BIOS boots before the OS. Got it.
