This almost literally happened with me when I tried to free a locust that appeared in my home. A gecko immediately appeared out from nowhere and ate it :(

Well gecko > locust, so all I’m hearing is a happy story of how you fed a nice little gecko with a gross locust.
People really seem to dislike locusts around here
