I don’t buy snacks but that doesn’t help because I always have baking staples on hand and end up eating a whole batch of cookies or a cake instead.

Before my second divorce, my ex was making and eating a lot of cakes. I wonder if she’d want to get divorced again, they were really good cakes.

It’s also when you did buy snacks at the store and you ate them and now they’re gone and you feel sick.

Turns out if you keep your house barren of food except what you are meant to eat that day, you can lose weight because your fat lazy ass would prefer to stay home and play vidja than go out.

Source : Went from 125 kg to 77 kg this way.

I have to go middle-ground because my stomach learned to drive and will happily drag the rest of me to the candy aisle of the grocery store if I don’t have SOMETHING to indulge on, so the indulgence now is often annoyingly healthy like Nutrigrain bars before bed (not actually healthy but compared to a 2lb bag of gummy worms…)

In general I would say I agree and owe my healthy weight mostly to this. Another thing that I would always do is instead of buying a regular family size bag of chips, I would buy the snack pack sizes. It’s a lot more expensive and more wasteful that way. But it’s easy to mindlessly consume half of a bag of family size chips. It’s less easy to mindlessly individually open 10 snack bags of chips.

But goddamnit, food delivery apps are my vice. They just bring whatever you want directly to you. I guess at least with these I’m generally only ordering a single meal rather than a ton of snacks.

but soooo fucking easy to go through a half-bag’s worth of mini candybars and other assorted goodies from a halloween stash without even realizing.

At the time I was following my own advice, I’d also wait until 3pm and order my only meal of the day though a delivery app.
