Attorneys for Immigration and Customs Enforcement said in a Friday letter that they intend to send Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the African nation of Eswatini after he expressed a fear of deportation to Uganda.
The letter from ICE to Abrego Garcia’s attorneys was earlier reported by Fox News. It states that his fear of persecution or torture in Uganda is “hard to take seriously, especially given that you have claimed (through your attorneys) that you fear persecution or torture in at least 22 different countries. …Nonetheless, we hereby notify you that your new country of removal is Eswatini.”
Eswatini’s government spokesperson told The Associated Press on Saturday that it had no received no communication regarding Abrego Garcia’s transfer there.
It’s crazy to think that a country could just send you to some random ass country that you have absolutely no connection to. I know this happens all the time to many people in many countries, it’s just insane to stop and ponder it for a second.
Reality check - it’s absolutely bizarre that a country you live and work in as a functional member of society would decide that you are now banished to a foreign land that you have no knowledge of. As American, imagine being drop-shipped to a small village in Uzbekistan with no money, clothes or google-translate. This is wicked-fucked up torture.
Would be cool to send a certain orange person there. But not to Uzbekistan, from what I know is actually quite nice there.

Fled from gang violence in San Salvador as a teenager, married to an American, has american kids, was living and working legally in the USA, was still illegally deported to a prison in San Salvador, had to be brought back under court order, is then falsely accused of crimes in Tennessee and now they want to deport him to a country that he has no connection to whatsoever.Ironically, to get the Tennessee accusations, the usa government struck cooperation deals with convicted criminals, one of which was going to be deported after his sentence, but now not anymore.
The cost for the USA government to persecute this 1 single person has to be already in the millions by now.

This could be any of us next. Kilmar and his supporters proved the administration is incompetent and committed an illegal deportation.
The only way to solve this for them is to make him public enemy #1. Hope the best for him and his family. So many innocent people in the US have been killed or harmed by the trump administration.
Can a European nation just pick this guy up at the African airport and just give him asylum already?
