There’s a separate thread for the Senate elections, because that’s far, far easier to track than the House races and the Gubernatorial races.
Consider this thread open to everything else! House, Governor, state and local measures, everything else!
Polls start closing at 7 PM Eastern, 4 PM Pacific. My plan is to be obsessively posting results as they come in.
Current standings:
US House of Representatives:
Republicans: 218
Democrats: 214
Vacant: 2
Independent: 1
Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX23) resigned 04/14/2026. Seat Flipped D.
Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL20) resigned 04/21/26. Seat Held.
Rep. Kevin Kiley (CA6) flipped from R to I in March, 2026. Seat Flipped D.
Every seat is up for re-election with 218 necessary for a majority.

I was struggling to fall asleep last night. Just happened to take a look at election results and senate was already over 50 seats blue, the ticker updated to 219 blue and it was the most relaxing feeling, stress I didnt know I had gone and replaced with a glimmer of hope, been a minute. Welcome back friend!
Yes. I feel like something very deep has unknotted, or as my better half put it, “I feel like I got upgraded to a better blood pressure medication,” lol. Thank you for the kind wishes. I hope we continue to dig ourselves out of this hole.
