I’ve always found it weird that people assume you have to be part of a marginalized group to support that group.
Although I’ve heard it’s not uncommon for gay people to hate on trans people, so maybe that’s why he asked.

Even among supportive cis gay people (which I’ve been fortunate enough to have no shortage of), there’s still this idea that focusing on us (trans people) is weird. As the attacks have ramped up and more cis folks have had formative queer experiences involving us that’s started to change.
Tbh I think it’s partly because of the historic fragmentation within the community. Gay men focus on gay men’s issues, lesbians focus on lesbian issues, bi people focus on bi issues, and trans people focus on any combination of issues within the community including trans issues.
The first place I’d say the shift really happened was in queer health as HIV became manageable queer health clinics began also offering transition related care.

I would recommend it. It’s a collaboration between the Coen Brothers and Sam Raimi if I recall correctly.

Um… It’s looking pretty feasible to me. Not nearly as effective, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping a lot of people
They can try, but it’s not a long-term route to success. The problem is that, by bargaining the rights of other marginalized groups away, you’ll inevitably reach a point where you have to explain why you specifically deserve rights and others don’t to an authority that believes neither deserve any.
Some people think discrimination and inclusion are zero-sum games when they tend to be in fact transitive.
