That’s one of the reasons i completely disable the History in my Webbrowsers
Could be worse. It could be suggesting Facebook.
Once upon a time you could delete them directly in the adress bar in firefox. Search entries and url alike
Highlight suggestion with arrow keys, shift + del, success?
This is the way
Yes, I’m SURE you meant to go to lenonparty.org
Imagine if there was a real site there.
If it gets suggested, you can select it with arrow keys and press shift+del, problem solved.
It’s amazing how different people are. Some will live their entire lives with a wrong suggestion or a “mystery apple charge every month” and never care to investigate or at least google it.
Can also highlight the suggestion and hit the “X”, at least in some browsers.
Dammit, I thought faceboot.com would have a funny typosquatter site on it, but it just redirects to Facebook…
The one time I type
exit()in powershell instead ofexit. That’s on you for using Microslop products
You guys aren’t deleting history when the browser closes?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
People care about privacy until it’s inconvenient. I can’t think of any websites I would trust to keep a cookie on my PC indefinitely, so I wipe everything when I shut down my PC once a day.
My personal method is streamlining access to my password manager so logging in is easier.
I use “private” browsing for like 95% of my internet browsing, and “normal” browsing for important stuff. That way the browser will remember “important” stuff including download sources etc, and for the rest I can sleep easy knowing that my embarassing typos at least aren’t remembered by my browser.
You clearly don’t have auDHD…
no that’s awful
I used to, then i got too frustrated when i accidentally closed the browser and now i don’t delete it
About every other month or so. That’s just for the locked down home pc. Phone is no history.
You can fix it. It take 8 seconds
8 seconds to hit shift+delete? That’s pretty slow.
The 8 seconds may include looking up how to fix it, since it’s apparently unknown to the poster. But you don’t get any imaginary internet dopamine points for that
to be fair t is so far away from k that’s not a simple typo and you deserve to be mocked
Your comment got me curious, and it turns out that’s true even for alternative layouts Dvorak & Colemak.
To see inside of the mind of someone who goes to facebook daily for 15 years on a dvorak keyboard.
Your comment got me curious, and it turns out that’s true even for layouts like Workman & Halmak
When deleting history is hard.

Don’t even need to do that, use arrow keys, select the incorrect entry, and press shift+delete
Chrome insists that I want to visit 92.168.I.I
I insist I don’t want to use Chrome, but search suggestions for local IP ranges is really annoying.
Just delete it
And that’s why I turn off the option for the location bar to suggest websites to me.
I have the same with archllinux.org (two ls instead of one). :(
Highlight it in the dropdown (using the arrow keys), then Shift+Del
