pike rocketed into mainstream fame out of nowhere like graham platner did and the american gov’t has a well documented history of elevating candidates who have progressive aesthetics with little-to-no progressive beliefts to prevent americans from elective progressive candidates.

i’m positing that piker and platner were both elevated because people feel that they’re progressive, but they only have centrist platforms.

        that’s usually true. lol

but this doesn’t require anything beyond being a student of american history.

Apparently it does. Hasan is a twitch streamer, not a politician

He’s also part of the “dirtbag left” which is much more like alt/actual left than centrist

pike rocketed into mainstream fame out of nowhere

No he didn’t lol. He started in the young Turks in like 2013. He’s been streaming on twitch since 2018. Yes his popularity has increased quite a bit in recent years, but it was not “out of nowhere”

i’m positing that piker and platner were both elevated because people feel that they’re progressive, but they only have centrist platforms.

At this point, he’s to the left of Bernie Sanders, who is to the left of most of the Democratic party. For a figure in the United States, he’s not a centrist. Especially on the subject of Palestine. If anything he’s been elevated as punching bag for centrists.

knowing that piker was groomed to become a media personality in a way similar to how justin timberlake was groomed for stardom via the mickey mouse club makes me envy him and chomsky already literally spent decades explaining to americans how the careers of media personalities are artificially boosted so long as they’re effective at capturing & co-opting progressive movements like piker is – hopefully unwittingly – doing.

history teaches us that you have to practice leftism in the right ways to succeed like the chinese, north koreans, vietnamese and cubans are doing and history also teach us us how to fail through various examples of leftists leaders and movements that chose to ignore history only to have their efforts end up being captured by the epstein class.

piker fits (a little bit too well) into the latter group and history says that all of his efforts will only go to feed into the liberal/conservative ratcheting effect in the same way that all centrists do without realizing it.

        ratchet goes brrr

I’m not versed enough in Piker lore to say either way but this definitely feels like a stretch. His dad is also a leftwing political commentator with similar beliefs.

Establishment Democrats actively try to distance themselves from him, too.

Who is his dad? If you mean his uncle, Cenk, he’s been a reactionary for a while. He performs radicalism but he’s a dumbass at best, a grifter at worst. Hasan seems a lot better than Cenk.

Oh, yeah I thought that was his dad lol

I was just saying he was exposed to politics at a young age and had the nepo boost going for him. I checked his wiki page and didn’t know he worked AT the young Turks

He began streaming on Twitch in March 2018, while working at The Young Turks, leaving the network in 2020 to focus full-time on his streaming career.

So even more reason to think his rise to fame isn’t suspicious. Democrats are famously bad at planning long term, I find it hard to believe they planted this seed 8 years ago

calling anyone in the piker clan leftwing is the stretch here since they’re liberals that only differ from democrats due their criticism of isreali zionism.

and establishment democrats once distanced themselves from obama too – democrats are schools of fish that simply do what their neighbor is doing without much thought as they collectively swim away from whatever they perceive to be a shark atm.

The ONLY difference is his criticism of Israel? Really?

yes she is better but that’s not saying much about democrats since they’ve helped lower the bar so much that it’s a tripping hazard in hell.

more importantly: genocide and ethnic-cleansing aren’t just “other issues” – they’re red lines that prove how little humanity and basic fucking human decency a person has within them.

This is what the Democratic Party does; it’s who they are. They’re willing to feign support for anything their voters want just as long as there’s no chance that they can pass it. They won control of Congress in the 2006 midterm elections by pretending they wanted to compel an end to the Iraq War and Bush surveillance and interrogation abuses because they knew they would not actually do so; and indeed, once they were given the majority, the Democratic-controlled Congress continued to fund the war without conditions, to legalize Bush’s eavesdropping program, and to do nothing to stop Bush’s habeas and interrogation abuses (“Gosh, what can we do? We just don’t have 60 votes).

greenwald called it 16 years ago and harry byrd predating manchin or sinema by over a half century proves that democrats have been doing this longer than most of us have been alive – it’s called the ratchet effect.

                racheting

Not addressing anything your opponent has said in favor of bringing up some unrelated point has a name – it’s called “monologuing”

and disregarding evidence that directly addresses your opponent’s point is called “willful ignorance” – it’s fitting that liberals exhibit it as much as maga does.
