My theory is every doctor is given more patients than they can possibly care about, so they become as alienated from their work as any factory worker. Healthcare is an assembly line. They care as much about their patients as I care about the car parts I make.

Going “rogue” would be a program literally rejecting a set of instructions to make up new instructions for itself. That never happened. The program just behaved in an unexpected way based on the prompts it was given, because that’s all they do. But they were still following instructions, because they can only follow instructions. The fact that it followed the instructions in a way they didn’t expect (so they claim) is only proof that they didn’t consider all ways their instructions could be followed.
To choose to do something against their instructions. They neither chose anything nor did anything they weren’t instructed to do.
They just followed the prompt. A program behaving in a way you don’t expect from a prompt is not going rogue, that’s just the user not understanding the instructions they gave a program.

You skipped over the second half of my comment. Your car blowing a tire unexpectedly on the road and causing you to swerve into a ditch against your will is not expected or authorized or normal behavior. It is, in fact, the opposite of all those things!

We’re not talking about words, we’re talking about political ideology. A communist is a communist, a liberal is a liberal, a fascist is a fascist, these ideologies aren’t context dependent. There are different kinds of communists and liberals and fascists etc etc but they’re all recognizably part of the same ideological family with a clear historical tradition, no matter the time period or country.
Conservatives can be so radically different in different contexts that it’s not really useful as a descriptor. It’s like saying someone is extreme or moderate or revolutionary or something, its so context dependent that it tells you practically nothing without the context.
I’m pretty sure that just means “conservative” doesn’t mean anything.

That definitely plays a role, but it really depends on where they work and what they’re specialized in. They can work incredibly long hours because hospitals want to have as few workers on staff as possible in order to minimize costs. Almost no one in medicine is working as little as 40 hours a week, most are working 49-58 hours on average and some are working up to 80 hours a week. In those conditions, where’s the room for care? You’re a car part on an assembly line to them.
