You are so right. My most downvoted comment on Piefed ever was about how Trump might be doing something out of pure greed instead of just stupidity, and I was called a “moron” for thinking that Trump was capable of something other than imbecility.
He is the very personification of greed. And tariffs give him a perfect vehicle to screw everyone over so he can make money whenever he wants. We say, TACO, he chickened out. He still makes money on the announcement of a change in tariffs. In fact he makes money when he announces AND when he withdraws the change.
