For real though I think it’s my iron deficiency. I had an ultrasound done on my legs because I was convinced I had a blood clot, and the technician was like, “you have excellent veins!” 😅
Probably Reynaud’s Phenomenon. I’m been diagnosed with this. My fingers and toes are often very cold and change colors (blue, purple, or even white). I’d suggest you talk to your doctor as there are medications that can help with this and it could be connected to an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder or connective tissue disorder.
I’ve thought about Reynauds, but my skin never turns white, just blue. I also get tingling sometimes in my heels, but never in my toes or fingers (which also turn blue). The people I’ve met with Reynauds also talk about it being painful and I’ve never had pain.
I have reynauds and for a long time it just skipped white. Also it’s rarely painful for me, which led to me just leaving my arms blood deficient too long
Are you particularly hard to draw blood from? And is it sometimes slower than normal, especially when it’s cold?
I am actually a stupidly easy stick. I am IV trained myself and for funsies and experience I’ve started large bore IVs in my own foot and ankle and also started a large bore IV one handed in my arm. I’ll have to ask my doctor about it next time I see her.
My mom had this due to having ESRD. She often did complain about the cold digits and sometimes color changes, but if she had associated pain she never mentioned it to me.
Same. My toes and feet are so hairy but if it’s below 65 F my feet literally turn blue.
