    They didn’t lie about electoral reform, nobody agreed and every party wanted the system that favoured them the most. Every party played politics on that instead of asking what’s best for Canada.

    Imagine they change it and the second the CPC get power they change it to what they want? They’d never shut up about it either, it would have been a disaster. Imagine Alberta separatism with that feather in their hat.

      Not true. The nationwide public consultations and the committee all came to the conclusion that Proportional Representation was the way to go, and recommended a mixed-member proportional system. The Liberals pulled the rug out because it wasn’t their preferred outcome.
