Dogs do also! I came downstairs and had to emergency rescue our shi tzu many years ago. Our rescue German shepherd mix of something smaller got her lower jaw stuck in his collar while playing and I presume twisted trying to get her jaw out. Neither of them were able to make enough noise to get help and were laying defeated on the floor when I saw them. It was horrible. Luckily they both seemed fine after a few minutes of getting them free but it was really scary.
