Constantly failing and being bad at a hobby is still inspirational black excellence and black girl magic. The only way to escape inspiration porn is suicide. Alternatively, failing is a result of being oppressed by the white man. I’m either a permanent victim or an inspirational story. I’d rather be a normal human who enjoys stuff like all the other normal people doing hobbies for fun.
Afraid of attention?
Patronizing and infantilizing attention. The normal kind is fine but the only way I could be treated normally is if I pretend to be a white man. Otherwise I’m treated like a sick puppy learning how to walk. I hate it.
