“While inflation has cooled from its peak, grocery prices have not returned to where consumers remember them,” Martin told The Post.
“Food prices have effectively reset to a permanently higher level after years of supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, transportation costs, and broad inflationary pressures,” he added.

The US starved for over a decade during the great depression. Even by WWII almost 40% of men were turned away from joining the army because of malnourishment so bad it had affected their development.
People really like to pretend revolution is just around the corner.
