Summary

Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of defense, was reportedly forced out of leadership roles at two veteran-focused non-profits, Concerned Veterans for America and Vets for Freedom, due to allegations of financial mismanagement, drunkenness, and fostering a hostile work environment.

Whistleblower reports detailed incidents including misuse of funds and inappropriate behavior at events.

Hegseth also faced past sexual assault allegations, which he settled privately in 2023.

Critics, including Senator Richard Blumenthal, have raised concerns about Hegseth’s suitability.

He could rape a woman in public, on video, and Trump voters, senators, and house representatives will howl at “fake news!” and instate him as Secretary of Defense anyway.

Can the media stop pretending things are normal anymore or that corruption means anything at all? It doesn’t, it’s all a joke now.

This is America, the buck starts here.

The media knew they would get him elected by keeping him constantly in the news. Go look up who owns the media outlets and you understand they did this because they wanted him in office.

I see what you did wrong there, you assume we have a working, strong, beautiful , lively and critical, independent ( one of these adjectives) media whose owners have a moral compulsion to help.

Where in fact all we got going for truth is a handful of perpetually near broke, small and weak outlets who are run on coffee fumes and dreams, not necessarily in that order

Is it too late to arrest Donal Trump for J6? Don’t know what we’d do about the election… but dude should never have been allowed to run for office after the attempted coup

Agreed! It’s not too late. A forensic audit of the election is quite reasonable, and should be done. There was a lot of interference, both foreign and domestic.

Regardless of the interference, he got the votes.

He should have been impeached in the two weeks after Jan 6th. I’m hoping he keeps over in the next month. I don’t know what President Vance will do, but it’s hard to be worse.

Did you know Bill Clinton is younger than Trump?

          He probably did.

But we also know that he’s been caught cheating at least five times, so it’s kind of crazy to just go along without verifying it first.

It’s not just the swing states he won. He also did much, much better in places like the Bronx, specifically AOC’s district.

The results of other places make it extremely unlikely that there was relevant cheating.

I was on board for the bullet ballot guy for about five minutes until I checked his numbers and found they were bullshit.

financial mismanagement, drunkenness, fostering a hostile work environment, misuse of funds and inappropriate behavior at events, sexual assault

Sounds like the perfect guy for the job! Any job really. Except maybe jobs involving a tiny shred of responsibility. And/or working with people. Or money.
