Summary

The Supreme Court’s handling of a case involving Trump’s firing of Hampton Dellinger, head of the Office of Special Counsel, has been described as a “compromise.”

Dellinger sued, claiming unlawful termination. The court, facing a split between conservative and liberal justices, opted to “not decide,” holding the government’s appeal “in abeyance” until the temporary restraining order (TRO) expires.

This “nonruling” risks escalating executive vs. judicial tensions, as it provides no clear direction on presidential removal power.

While TROs remain an option, the court avoided directly challenging Trump’s claims, leading to potential future clashes.

The goal of the fascist controlled court is to provide safe speed limits for their coup.

If a particular action causes too much panic too early they can put the breaks on and wait till the temperature cools on this particular issue, or wait till they have full control of the military and don’t have to pretend as much anymore.

This. The Judicial system in a liberal democracy serves to depoliticize outcomes. This is currently repurposed to depoliticize a fascist takeover.

Astute and elegantly said. I’ll definitely be repeating that observation.

This isn’t “Clash of the Titans”, more like the “will they or won’t they” tension from a 3rd rate sitcom.

      Originally I wanted to run.

But my wife convinced me to stay and fight, or go down with the ship.

      It’s going to suck. Sure.

But myself and others are already doing more in our immediate community than we did before and I think the movement will only grow. The world may collapse around us but we can keep our community a pleasant place.

And if multiple communities start doing this, it’ll grow and connect. It will matter.

I want to reclaim this country so bad.

this is our homeland, we’re not leaving it. we might be slaves under capitalism or whatever, but I don’t have to be a docile slave. they’re going to have to fight us for what little we have left.
