I honestly believe they didn’t think that trump was actually going to go through with a lot of it, and that ‘he talks a lot of shit, and triggers the libs’ and that’s it.
I think they just wanted four more years of Trump term 1 which was retarded but certainly not this horiffic.
There is still a wildly vocal support base online so it’s hard to hear the voters who have silently realised their mistake.
And yes it has cost allegiance, that won’t come back as easily this time.
Most Trump supporters probably can’t even name more than 10 non-english speaking countries that aren’t Mexico, Russia or China, and one their answers would probably be “Africa”.
International politics doesn’t even come close to their thought processes during election time.
