This is really sad. They’re self selecting into isolation. That’s an incredibly dangerous thing to do. It leaves you vulnerable and miserable and trapped within whatever ideology or neurosis caused you to choose to separate. I hope they manage to break out.

Castro was a tyrant. Like, you could agree some of his social policies were good and he did reduce some of the inequality between rich and poor, but he was mostly an authoritarian piece of shit despite that.
