We have separate stuff for Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas. Now there is a lot of cross over between Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Santa hats on spooky shit for sure, if I can be arsed. I rarely manage to take down decorations until it’s time to put em up again, so I try to just take down my least favourite items and let the ones I enjoy stay year round.
Biggest mistake was decorating my many plants with fake spider webs. Took me a year to get rid of (mostly for lack of trying) and looked like shit with all the dead leaves staying tangled in it instead of falling away.
I’m trying to stick to more permanent decor since.
there is a house in my neighborhood that appears to have two sets but they combine them…
so there are spooky skeletons holding presents like they are the three wise men to a nativity scene made up of penguins and elves
I need to know that their baby Jesus is a Chucky doll. Because that would really improve my day.
Halloween gets collected and stored. The last bits went to the attic yesterday.
There’s a conversion to Thanksgiving decor, then right after Thanksgiving it all gets packed up, and we convert to Christmas.
Christmas gets packed up and stored sometime before June.
I only decorate for Halloween, but this year I felt fancy and gave the skeleton a festive cowboy hat
