I had heard the record was almost 4 miles. This says the new shot was onoy about 2 and a half. So what was the actual previous record?
Maybe it was 4 km instead of 2.5 miles?
That would be just slightly under 2.5 miles, so maybe I just misremembered the units. 🤔
The record now stands at 4000 meters. The previous record was also held by a Ukrainian sniper at 3800 meters.
AFAIK the record was around 3km from a Canadian sniper. This page has more info.
