Ah, yes, I can just Uno reverse them. “Can you?” 🤣
Yes, of course, I can easily install Steam on my Ubuntu-based latest stable version of Linux Mint with the flagship Cinnamon desktop environment. 😄 I just need to get the .deb package file from the official Steam site, and then open the terminal where the .deb file was downloaded, install the appropriate drivers first, and then type:
sudo dpkg -i steam.deb ; sudo apt install -f -y && reboot
🤓
Typical Windows users greet me when I use Linux:
“Oh, you must be a hacker, right?”
"Can you install Steam on your computer?
Rock N’ Roll will never die! 😎🤘🎸
Not sure what we call them both here. Maybe just pancakes… We have Apam Balik, which looks similar.

If you ask me:-
I use a combination of my instincts, including distro-hopping, since I began using Linux in 2017, reading articles online about Linux tutorials, and even watching YouTube videos. I gave up on Linux and returned to Windows many times, but it ultimately made me return to Linux because it is meant to be my forever operating system. There are so many Linux tutorials available online, including on YouTube. Indian channels taught me how to install Ubuntu, and that was my most memorable beginning with Linux. I also recommend chatting with current viral technologies such as generative AIs; they’ll provide you with answers. So, keep exploring Linux. 😎👍

kaerypheur@lemmy.worldOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How many fediverse instances have you signed up for?12·1 month agoI can see that some instances have different rules and different kinds of names. So far, I have found that lemmy.world is the most reliable and general instance I can participate in. I discovered another instance called monyet.cc; the name looks funny. “Monyet” in Malay means “monkey.” That’s why I am currently awaiting their review to see if I can participate in that instance.
Here, we pronounce it literally: “Sum - soong” 🤣

For me, empathy is a fundamental human value, not Tesla or Starlink. With empathy, I believe highly wealthy people can already solve world poverty and be happy together. But no, they use us as a source of income.

Yes, I believe this can happen in any country, including mine, if the elected party or a wealthy figure decides to amend such authoritarian, manipulative, and exploitative policies.

Honestly, I use Linux and I need VirusTotal scans for side-loading .deb packages. It’s because I’m not a coding expert, auditing every code of the packages before installing it. So, I think it’s myth that Linux do not need antivirus or anti-malware. We have other different approaches too such as using anti-malware DNS servers.
