Even though it’s not intelligent at all, chatGPT seemed groundbreaking when it arrived. Big promises were made and implausible amounts invested, and it doesn’t really seem to have gone anywhere since. It’s the same thing, just a bit better.
If it’s true, it seems like a crazy idea. Whether you like office or not, it’s a known brand and people have been using it for a long time. Throwing away that name recognition has to be a bad idea, especially as many people are increasingly resentful at having AI shit forced down their throats.

I think it’s also down to windows 11 being increasingly enshitified, and unwanted AI stuff being forced on users. A lot of people are frustrated and are more open to alternatives.
