Yeah fair enough. I’m not super familiar with the genre, still learning, but I’ve gotten a ton of good feedback.

Thanks for explaining it. You and the other comment bpiqued my interest. Grateful.
Interesting. I wouldn’t have pictured platformers as having this much exploration. Thanks for taking the time. I’ll have to check it out.
Can anyone explain to someone who doesn’t get it? How can a platformer be this great? I’m obviously not a player who gravitates to platformers, but I’m just curious about all this attention.

31·5 months agoI don’t think that someone is talking about using BTC or ETH. They’re literally unusable to make purchases (multiple minute settling times and the high costs you mentioned) but any other functional L1 would work. Algorand for examply has ~3second block times with instant finality and costs a fraction of a fraction of a cent to use the network. Those fees couple be subsidised they’re so low. They’re significantly lower than a rail like Visa or MasterCard. But you’re right, implementing it so anyone can easily use and access it is key.

Don’t forget Michigan!!

Technology@beehaw.org•I love my smart TV (From Mastodon) - Repost
1·11 months agoYou can always get a new Chromecast (we were forced to as the ancient bullet proof one told us to “fuck off, I want to die”). The new one has a remote control and apps, which I always thought were missing from the minimalist Chromecast family of products. So look at us, now we have a shitty roku when all we wanted was a device that I could send things to from my phone. Needed and wanted nothing more, but I got it. My tone is muddled here, so I’ll make it clear that it’s worse than it used to be, and I’m annoyed I was forced to pay to downgrade.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Theo Von Says TikTok Ban Boils Down To Covering Up Palestine ‘Genocide’: ‘They Want To Own It, Dude’
72·1 year agoSpeaking as someone with no social media (big grain of salt), whenever I’ve heard reporting on people seeing the genocide on their phones it was always referencing tiktok. They never said “people watched children be exploded on twitter or Insta”. That could be due to user preference or whatever, but as an outsider, I have the ambient notion that more of this kind of content was coming from tiktok.
More concretely, in a lot of the stuff that came out of the twitter files, it’s clear that the US government does have, what I would classify as, inappropriate contact with american social media companies that can controle narratives. Without saying something with absolute certainty, the statement he’s making sounds pretty reasonable.
Also nothing is just one thing, there’s probably a ton going on.

World News@lemmy.world•US military says Chinese fighter jet came within 10 feet of B-52 bomber over South China SeaEnglish
0·2 years agoYou’re comparing linear distance to surface area of the south China sea. I’d be curious to know how close to Chinese airspace this bomber or group was flying. Fair enough though, if you think it’s not analagous we could open it up to the entire gulf of Mexico/Caribbean. It seems pretty clear to me that Chinese aircraft in that area would result in a tantrum that would probably escallate beyond tailgating.

0·2 years agoImagine what the US would have done if a Russian nuclear capable bomber had been pstrolling the space between FL and Cuba at any point in our history? “Ahh they had bad manners around our death machine flying off their coast”. Grasping jangoistic pearls. The entitled outrage of empire right here.

No, but everyone who has been responding have been really positive. Maybe I’ll take a swing at it
