This exactly. Sending cops alone to these calls is like using a hammer on a screw.

The main thing immigrants bring is change. Change to the culture, the language and all of that. In general, people don’t like change. But it is well established that not changing means a culture will be left behind.

Just about everywhere in the US was taken from someone. And almost always a marginalized individual. All the way back to the native americans. It how human be human apparently.

At the same time, this was clearly a mental health issue. Cops just shouldn’t be sent alone to deal with those. They aren’t trained for it, and many aren’t trainable because it wasn’t part of the hiring criteria and they just don’t have the skills. We need an addition group trained for this that can better handle these things. That way no one has to die, and we don’t have to spend tons of taxpayer money because a cop was put in a position he was clearly unqualified for. Probably shouldn’t even have been a cop. But with high demand and low supply, they end up taking lots of people who should never be cops. Maybe this guy could have lead a happy and productive life as a plumber or something.

The key word in the sentence is “more”. So no it can’t be true that in Nazi Germany more people knew than in Nazi Germany. 2 + 2 = 5 for extremely large values of 2?

Not so much not follow orders, but how about go for the job. You don’t get a job like that without going after it and pulling strings. And you could resign at anytime.

I imagine this as a system that uses spare renewable energy like solar to generate gas that can be used to smooth the curve that is a renewable power source. It’s real value is that it reduces infrastructure needs, allowing its use in remote environments. But it does add a lot of additional failure points.

The worst was one AI hallucinated but really was so perfectly following the pattern of all the ones we already had that it just looked right. When it didn’t work, I asked AI to implement it (opensource helm chart), and it said no. That is where the opportunity is. For things like helm charts and what not that are just wrappers, AI should really excel. We could have very consistent interfaces for things like that, and it would save a ton of time.

If it was removed, how am I seeing it?

It’s really not for so many reasons. But high speed mass communication changes everything. It’s really far worse. Soo many more people know what is happening and are choosing to be part of it.

The key to happiness is not to have any hard expectations. I’ve heard the phrase “strong opinions held loosely” at work. But in life, soften the strong part. Random chance will have more impact on your path than anything else, so flow with it.

This was exactly my first thought. He should be disqualified for many reasons, but that ain’t one of them. Thinking that way is why we have him.

Next months story will be about ice officers in minn pulling guns on off duty ice officers who were brought in from the south and who just have a dark tan. That will be a real hoot.

It’s not really a trust thing. They are companies, not people. The top decision makers have a fubuciary responsibility to do whatever makes money. They can, and often do, get sued if they don’t. So you can expect them to sell you out. It’s literally thier purpose for existing.

Actually, if you ask about the non-insurance price, it is often significantly reduced. Places massively overbill, so that the insurance can claim they got you a discount. The real price is often even lower.

But yes, it’s a scam to make you believe you “need” insurance. Most probably only need like catastrophic insurance.
