You could see it coming: agree to a ceasefire, missiles were fired on Israel, now Iran denying they did that

That looks like it, it also serves as a wonderful retorical point resetting who the agressor is so they can go back to tue Israel has a right to defend itself montra.
I would also add its not just Iran would not do anything, but also no other nation would rally to its aid
Iran showed the yanks that they won’t do anything worthy of attention when they are attacked in their most precious infraestructure, so now the US is going to escalate in some other way. Rinse and repeat.
