Anything involving Taylor Sheridan makes USSR propaganda look tame.

In some show about Cowboys or Special Ops people, there are these moments inserted where one of the main characters turns to the token soft-hearted libtard from a big city, and explains how the world really works. How you can’t trust the media, how windmills and solar energy doesn’t work, how communists are infesting universities. The poor libtard thinks they have “facts” and “information” on their side, but the rugged individualist schools them on the “Way Things Really Are”.

There has always been propaganda, but mostly it’s stuff like Top Gun. A movie is made where the heroes are Navy fighter pilots, and we see how they live cool lives, and have adventures, and end up protecting us from the arab bad guys.

Taylor Sheridan’s stuff is unique in how blatant the propaganda is. There’s a scene in Landman that’s especially famous for this, and of course the clip on YouTube is full of morons agreeing with it, or talking about Joe Rogan. But, it was also so blatant that there are dozens of articles and videos debunking it.

It’s hard to fact check Top Gun. Yes, such a school exists, yes fighter pilots get goofy nicknames (but not cool ones like Maverick or Ice Man unless it’s actually a super embarrassing story). But, they’re not generally making factual claims in those movies. But, these Taylor Sheridan shows, while they’re absolutely filled with that kind of generic “rah rah USA, individualism, roll coal, blah blah” bullshit, they also have these scenes that might as well be introduced with a trumpet and someone saying “and now, for the propaganda moment!”

There’s a MAGA running for Congress in my area, and his ad starts with him brining groceries on from the car, saying “Democrats in Congress don’t understand how the high cost of living is affecting Americans…”

MAGA, WHAT? This fucking pedophile traitor is actually trying to make it sound like it’s the Dems that are causing all the problems, even though MAGA fully controls every branch of government, and all our economic problems can be DIRECTLY traced to the war, tariffs, and other MAGA economic policies. They just fuck everything up, blame the Dems, and spend a fortune shoving it down our throats until people believe it.

I always find it really funny when they don’t even bother with arguments anymore. They just present left policies as is, but say it in a way that shows they think that it’s obvious why these are bad. Like they shouldn’t even have to explain themselves.

Bernie Sanders is going to take control of all the toothbrush factories. You will be assigned a toothbrush bristle hardness designated by your socialist dentist. If you drive a lifted truck you will be assigned to work in a gay cake factory that only bakes cakes for gay weddings.

At least in Germany, MSM have definitely been moving in direction of the far right after the last federal elections a year ago when the fascists became the strongest party.
Very recently, when the socialists won Berlin - Germany’s capital and largest city - they were immediately smeared as “anti-semitic” (of course) and “having connections to criminal gangs” by some parts of the MSM which I thought had resisted this trend. I quit their shit on the spot.

My guess is that back in the day TV was one of the main source of entertainment, so you had a lot of eyes on it, nowadays only dead brain people watch it so they can go all out between propaganda and drama, also it’s probably easier for some stuff to get lost as it’s mostly bullshit and almost no one gonna save it.

BBC News used to be a respected, if small-c conservative, news organisation. Now it’s just an embarrassment. The rest of the BBC is worth saving, but the news division needs all the people at the top fired and not rehired, and everyone below whatever level is appropriate (I don’t know the inner workings) seriously considered for firing. Then the charter needs amending to clearly and unequivocally state that the news must remain independent of government or corporate meddling - probably need an oversight committee to ensure that, but how they are chosen is left as an exercise to the reader!

And shit like Ancient Aliens is just straight up psyops and ofcourse all the bread and circuses sports events. Seriously people in my country get more riled up about football than the shit politicians do.
