Mirror’s Edge is not steampunk. It was futuristic with strong primary colors, and the aesthetic was consistent throughout the entire game including the HUD and menus. That’s why it looks like the image on the right.
Wooshed? It’s pretty obvious that the image on the right is not only minimalist, it’s also “modern” with the sans-serif font. You assume you could do a minimalist steampunk HUD.
Mirror’s Edge (2008) looks like the one on the right, and is an absolute work of art IMO. The sequel sucks tho
