I was able to source the keys and play movies just fine. Only thing was that the Menu didn’t work on VLC, so I had to play the titles directly. They all played fine though. The key thing though stagnates development and means issues won’t be fixed due to perceptions abut obtaining said keys.

That all sounds like significantly more effort than popping a disc in and pressing play.
Well you only have to do it once then you can play the discs afterwards with no real effort.
