They do not deserve basic human rights, healthcare or clean air. They are not entitled to pension. These roaches should be sterilized

I know you pointed out this was /s (sarcasm/satire?), but in case someone genuinely shares this opinion:
People are not the ideas they hold. A hearts-and-minds approach just seems better to me.
(also, I originally meant this post as a liberal vs leftist thing. I also support applying this approach to Trump supporters, but I don’t think that’s a suggestion people are ready for)
All for the hearts-and-minds approach. I had a few very productive conversations with somewhat right leaning individuals. Don’t want to brag, but one of them has become a member of Die Linke - not very radical but still a left party.
The conservative ideology does not offer any bright picture of the future. It can only appeal to the past where everything was good and vivid.
We can have conversations, we can convince people to be on our side, but unfortunately the kids here do not understand it. They hate maga as if they were their enemies and not neighbors
Some of them might be “kids” (whether actual minors in which case it’s understandable - most of us have been there ourselves - or immature adults) but some of them might simply have been driven past their limit or otherwise burned out. They, too, are in need of this approach.
