climate disaster, crash, catastrophe etc are more accurate nouns to describe the global environmental crisis impacting every living being on Earth, than the tepid ‘change’ & CNN can’t even muster the audacity to utter that weak word

Agreed. My go to is “climate crisis.” Climate change was a term developed by the fossil fuel industry in focus groups to purposefully sound less scary

The same answer as usual, I’d imagine-- billionaires owning most major incorporations these days, meaning that usually the end-product is heavily processed and filtered in line with their own interests, such as tampering with narratives and enriching their wealth.

They can’t handle the truth so they try to cover it up. Minimize your oil & gas purchases. O&G are the ones controling media and lobbying governments to rule in their favour.

If you’re looking for a differences in the reporting periods 2016-2020, 2020-2024, and 2024-Now then it’s not hard to figure out.

Trumpster fire is using FCC to threaten networks, used DOGE to shut down funding for reports with words he doesn’t like, stripped away any offices capable of contributing climate data including NOAA and NASA atmospheric research, and uses emergency orders to keep coal plants open and shutdown wind and solar farms.
