      Pain, fear (jealousy) & anger can manifest in many ways, sometimes over several generations… as if passed down like a beloved trinket.

      You happened to be a scapegoat in the situation you are describing, which I am sorry you experienced. By sharing this story, you have successfully shown that racism exists across a broad spectrum, however; this does not make the suffering caused by colonialism any less disturbing or tragic, nor does it lessen the humiliation & pain you faced while your teacher used you as a centerpiece.

      It’s a mess out there.
