Midwestern vowels, some are kinda nasally. My ex-MIL is from Michigan and that is a recognizable accent for sure. My ex used to get mad because the girl name Dawn and the boy name Don sound nearly identical here but in Michigan apparently sound very different from each other.

Yeah STLiens pronounce “o” differently. I didn’t even realize we had a bit of an accent until someone asked me about it one time
