A jet engine fan blade on a Boeing 737 broke free and slammed into the side of the passenger cabin, breaking a window and leading to a man being partially sucked outside the aircraft, the National Transportation Safety Board said in a preliminary report on Thursday.
Boeing of course
It was an 18-year-old plane. Also the engines aren’t made by Boeing, the engine in question was made by CFM, a joint venture between GE and Safran.
Evidence of fatigue cracking was found on the damaged fan blade, which means this was a maintenance failure.
Totally read this as “GE and Satan” the first time and thought “oh, well, that makes sense then.”
Would it be fun to point out GE owned 50% interest in Boeing business jets (the venture that made the 737) prior to 2020?
Not if you’re trying to defend a shitty company that murdered nearly 400 people.
No one is defending either both are war profiteers that would have gone bankrupt years ago without MiC grift.

If it’s Boeing, I’m not going.
