Probably one of the most cliche shots in the city, but basic shots done right still look nice, so I’m sharing this one with you.

Powell’s City of Books is laid out across several floors, has maps, and the minotaurs work the info desks and help people out, as opposed to being dead from malnutrition in an arbitrary badly-lit corner of book hell.

Thanks for seeing my work!

How old is that building in the background? I went to Powell’s once in the mid-00s and don’t remember that, but I mostly just remember the inside of the place.

Probably built in 05-ish? Was one of the older projects by the development group Gerding Edlin who built out the initial push around the brewery blocks.

Ah, it was probably still under construction when I went then. I think it was '03 or '04, but maybe even a bit earlier.
