Absolutely fitting that Australia on this map is a neoliberal infested ideological hell.
It always weirds me out how blind people are to the status quo. People will see it as intolerable that critical support for AES is a thing or that some people hold fringe opinions like “the dprk is good”, however will view people having positive opinions on the USA, Australia, the UK, or France as acceptable despite the horrific violence those countries export and direct internally.
It seems very inconsistent to me, how people apply criticism to leftists they disagree with.
It’s so obvious when western leftists refuse to purge their indoctrinated assumptions and refuse to purge their inner liberal. It’s really irritating sometimes
Someone had a quote about how white supremacy is the black hole at the center of liberalism, invisible to the naked eye but observable by all their other ideas orbiting around it. These people do not appreciate just how suffused their upbringing has been in the polite kind of racism

Active dissent was rare. Yet there has been no reckoning, no addressing of the flawed ideology that lead people who consider themselves reasonable to support an illegal war that slaughtered around half a million people directly and has lead to many more deaths.
But someone says “death to America” or whatever? Better start catawalling over the “correct” way to discuss your grievances. Heaven forfend someone say something like “I hope Iran brings the western world to its knees”. Then you’re supporting authoritarians.
Its clear that Ada has chosen a path regarding this matter, and that is fully in line with the reactionaries. Its 196 and LibertyHub, ironically the two communities which I was one of the most central figures in.

Excuse me? Ada didn’t remove you as mod of LibertyHub because of any supposed tankie sympathies, she did it because Cassa and I asked her to.
Cassa and I didn’t ask her to remove you as mod becuase of said sympathies either, we had to to prevent you from shutting down the community unilaterally without discussing it with either of us, the other two active mods.
You literally made an announcement post, locked the com, and made a new com with the same name/banner on another instance without saying a word to either of us. How are we supposed to react to that? Need I remind you that despite your insistence to the contrary, LibertyHub was not originally your community. Just because LinkOpensChest.wav stepped down doesn’t give you unilateral control over it, at least as long as Cassa and I are still around.
