My internal clock has been utterly derailed by having finished school last week, so I didn’t even notice that it’s Friday again lol. I don’t have any soulslikes on my plate right now - sounding like a broken record at this point - but I’ve been thinking about trying to get a PS4 emulator running on my PC to give Bloodborne another go. It’s been way too long since I’ve last played it.

I’m not sure if it’s the saddest boss in a soulslike, but Romeo from Lies of P is definitely up there. The second playthrough recontextualises many boss fights and this one was just gut wrenching.

What’s your pick?

Oooofff. Both your picks are very emotionally charged… Lies of P definitely has some strong tearjerker moments. Romeo, and both the final boss fights (base game and DLC) in a way, due to the emotional buildup to them…

Not a boss fight but fighting Blaidd in ER diffinitely was a gut punch as well.

Been very out of it when it comes to games, awfully slow and unfocused but will try to resume khazan. Paused it at the Rangkus fight, very entertaining having to manage his stance break recovery… I really like humanoid fights like that one. and probably my favourite area of the game so far.

      fighting Blaidd

No. I’m part of her very being! I could never betray her!

The final fight with Blaidd really is super sad. Then the one-two punch of telling Iji about it and him dying in covered in Black Flame.
