WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. lawmakers are demanding several Canada provinces not only stock their spirits again, but also formally acknowledge that the anti-tariff boycott wasn't working at all and that the Americans were "not even a little bit angry over it working".
Americans just placed Tariffs on Canadian mushrooms. Folks need to boycott Mastercard and Visa in response.
We need our own “Nationalized” version of the service, or maybe we can grass roots croudfund it. Frankly any basic middle man services should be in the hands of the gov. This shit isn’t rocket sciance and those service funds should go to them and not some POS stakeholder

Yes this, Interac works very well and should be expanded to include credit, or as described by another person, link it to a line of credit.

I like the EU but I see no reason we can’t just copy existing systems and pay Back into ourselves.
This is what Australia needs to do as well, with our eftpos system.
The only difference between it and the American two structurally is that it hasn’t been verified or implemented for credit payments, only debit.
I think we could even join the EU’s new system that replaces Mastercard/Visa
