Work in progress. It’ll be a gas station style shirt with Frank on one brest and the Bride on the other. The final shirt is charcoal gray. I’m breaking needles and missing stitches but at least I’m going through a lot of thread too. Frank is in gray and purple (the Bride will be too) because those were our wedding colors. Yeah, we’re that weird family that overdoes Halloween.

    Neat!

My husband found similar concept shirts at an artisan co-op in New Orleans. The shirts were 70s/80s vintage western style with snap closures. One had embroidered bigfoots inside the pointy areas in the shoulders and the other had skulls in sombreros. They’re my favorite shirts of his.

Very nice! I like the texture on his jacket, it’s very houndstoothy.

What software are you using to digitize the art for the machine? I’ve been curious about using my library’s machine as well, but I’m not really sure which software is worth spending time learning.

Thanks! This is my first attempt at different stitch styles and angles.

Inkscape with the Ink-stitch extension. Mostly because it’s the one I can afford. There’s a learning curve but I was already learning it for my vinyl cutter designs and rpg maps.

Looks great! I’ve been thinking about learning how to do this since my library has embroidery machines in its maker space.
