      You would think so. However, they already have to pay rent and utilities on huge office buildings while all major cities have housing issues. Yet I still have to show up for work in the office. It boggles the mind.

        The same sensibilities that guide the lives of the capitalists who run these companies will be applied to them as well.

        Big, gaudy status symbols, not of money but of power. This section of a major city rises into the sky just to accommodate us, because we’re so important that we deserve this space among all the most popular spaces.

        I used to work from home, now I drive 15 miles to sit in a building with nobody in it. It’s peaceful but pretty lonely given I might see someone in my building once every few weeks.
