Starting from Southeast Asia, people realize that a severe and probably long energy crisis lies ahead - and goverments act differently.

What happens will not only affect energy prices in Europe, but also vital global supply chains.

You would think so. However, they already have to pay rent and utilities on huge office buildings while all major cities have housing issues. Yet I still have to show up for work in the office. It boggles the mind.

The same sensibilities that guide the lives of the capitalists who run these companies will be applied to them as well.

Big, gaudy status symbols, not of money but of power. This section of a major city rises into the sky just to accommodate us, because we’re so important that we deserve this space among all the most popular spaces.

I used to work from home, now I drive 15 miles to sit in a building with nobody in it. It’s peaceful but pretty lonely given I might see someone in my building once every few weeks.

It’s honestly shocking how much difference 100kph vs 120kph makes in fuel consumption, even on relatively short distances.

Just when they started to choose back on wfh lol. But seriously, I’ve been working from home since covid, I can’t imagine the personal costs I’d incur with these prices.

I’m just so glad trump is making America great again. They must be doing so well over there.

The suit industry is a colossal waste of money that could be used to meaningfully improve the lives of people who need it.

And of course, working from home was always possible but why give workers any more freedom than is absolutely necessary?
