TL;DR - The French Laundry in Yountville, California. Why not just say that in the headline (directed to People Magazine, not OP)

Because more people are likely familiar with Michelin star restaurants as a concept than this particular restaurant, so you get more interest/engagement by sticking the more well-known thing in the headline

Point well taken. But of a pet peeve with me, I’m afraid, given all the clickbait headlines these days. I was perhaps too harsh on this one.

Bro. It’s THE FRENCH LAUNDRY. If you aren’t familiar with this one but the term Michelin star you got your wires crossed lmao.

Yeah I guess that’s fair. But I’m in an ATL suburb and I know this one but couldn’t name the town it’s in.

Mate there are hundreds of Michelin starred restaurants in Paris alone. Am I supposed to know about all the 3-starred restaurants in the world ?

Thank you. As a 30yr+ vet of the industry, I wholly endorse any increase in attention to these widely accepted “service” norms. It’s slavery, point of fact, and riddled with torture, abuse throughout that leave scars for life (even for those that outlive their time in it, or somehow escape early). 🙇🏽‍♂️🤌🏼
