My week was OK, my mother in law came out of hospital so things have been a bit less hectic since. She seems to be fine for now.

I’ve spent the entire week aching like hell from the gym last Sunday, only to finally recover on Saturday!

Saturday was mostly spent doing chores, but we had a babysitter for a few hours, so me and Mrs Blackn1ght managed to go out for some food for a few hours. Sunday went to the gym, and then we all went on a walk up Rivington Pike, which surprisingly our 3 year old managed to walk the entire way! Although to be fair we kept stopping and starting so much that my watch couldn’t even record a walking pace!

My next task is to start looking into a standing desk and a desk treadmill so I can get some steps in during meetings.

It sounds like you overdid your workout badly last weekend.

After good several years, I started again going to the gym late last year. At my age one needs to be careful to avoid causing more harm than good. So far no major aches or pains, and happily a noticeable improvement in the way my body (or what’s left of it) works.

Probably, I think it’s just because I’m starting back. I feel considerably less sore today despite doing more than I did last week! It feels like a chore going but I’m hoping that once I’m going enough then it’ll start to become addicting.

On your last point, have a look at the Ikea sit-stand desks, I have one and it’s been working well for… ~10years? (& they’re cheaper than some others)

There’s no way I could concentrate / be on video calls and walk though, so I’m not sure about the treadmill…

Cheers, I’ll take a look! I need something quite narrow, about 90cm, which narrows (ha ha ha) things down a bit.

A few of my colleagues manage to walk and talk and it works out fine, so I think I’d be good. Only one way to find out!
